Back to Utah This is from June, 2012, better late than never!

David and I got home from two weeks in Nauvoo, Illinois. It was my last hurrah tour with the Ballroom Dance team and the trip was great. We performed everynight and usually a shorter out-reach show during the day. We performed in Quincy, Carthage, keso... and many nights in Nauvoo's own outdoor stage right next to the LDS visitor's center. The temperature was high and so was the bug count! There were bugs throughout the show but especially after our black light number, MicTendo, The loved that black light. We come on stage for the ballroom medley in black and then after a naration about our prestigious team the lights come up, and I sure loved seeing all of the bugs buzzing around. YUCK! I was fortunate never to partake of the blessed bugs, but some were not so lucky.

We stayed in a condo/villa with Shane and Shannon Jensen, which was blast, they are so funny and kind. We had a blast quoting Nacho Libre together because Shane loved it so much he watched it 3 times, ha ha.

I have never heard of some famous people that we ran into three times, but apparently they are.... famous.... The sister wives... reality series about paligamists. We ran into them at the Carthage Jail and then at Annie's Frozen Custard that night, and invited them to come to our show. The church publicity and our director was happy to know that they werent filming anything.

Just a side note Annie's frozen custard is acceptable ice cream BUT I would much much much rather have Nielsen's Frozen custard of Utah. WAY Better, they can actually call themselves a custard. Annie's just tasted like plain frozen yogurt.  They were funny and closed at a different time everynight, as in 9:32, 9:47.... we didnt get done with our show and packed up with everything till 10:30 so Lee was awesome and asked them to stay open late for us and then he payed for our ice cream- everyone.... for three nights! Wow, was a great way to use some money that a wonderful man donated to the company, "for the kids." Thanks!

This was my last tour, my last times performing! I told my friend I was 80% happy to be done 10% sad, and 10% I don't know for sure how I feel. We did one show before tour in South Jordan and I walked on the bus and I thought to myself how glad I am to be done. No more not feeling like I don't have anyone to talk to because many have their own little clicks, no more early early mornings, no more drama, no more rediculously long weekends to random places that are way too far away to be traveling to on a school weekend, no more setting up or striking show sites.
Sadly no more "Great Moments" with Lee Wakefield.
David and I at the Provo airport!
Yummy breakfast with the Pendleton's and Thornocks!
Getting Ready for the handcart pull
 Our handcart family
Good friends at the mission president's home for ice cream

Us trying to take a picture sneakily of the sister wives outside of annie's custard....

And most wonderful, we got to take a couple extra days and visit David's family in Chicago area! Thank you to David's parents and Ben for coming all the way to see me dance. Even though we got rained out and had to do a partial show indoors on a much smaller stage.
